Eyebrow tattoos and microblading can be life-changing when they’re done well, but not every set of brows ages gracefully. Pigment may fade to the wrong colour, shapes can go out of style, or sometimes the brows just don’t feel like you anymore. Laser removal gives you the chance to reset, and either remove them for good or have them redone. Here’s what you can expect if you’re considering treatment.
Multiple Sessions Are Normal
Eyebrow tattoo and microblading pigment sits closer to the surface of the skin than body tattoos, so removal often takes fewer sessions overall. What usually requires multiple visits is the way cosmetic pigments are blended—several colors mixed together rather than one solid ink. The darker tones tend to fade first, while the lighter shades need more treatments to fully break down.
Pigment Changes Can Happen
It’s common for cosmetic pigments to shift in color during the process—reds, oranges, and yellows are are possibilities. That's because typically several coloured inks are mixed to look more natural. The darkest inks usually fade first which reveals the lighter understones.
Natural Brows Stay Safe
The laser passes through hair without harming follicles, so your natural brows will continue to grow. Sometimes the brow hairs may turn temporarily white right after treatment. This is just a short-term change in the pigment of the hair shaft itself, not the follicle. As the hair grows out, your natural color returns. Treatments remain very targeted, focusing only on the unwanted tattoo pigment.
Protecting the Eyes Is Top Priority
Because the brows sit right above the eyes, safety comes first. We always use protective goggles to make sure the laser light only reaches the pigment and not the eye. The laser can be a little startling as you can't see it and it's close to your eye, but the procedure is incredibly quick.
Healing Is Quick
After treatment, you may see some redness or mild swelling for a day or two. Use a cold compress to keep the inflammation down. Most clients feel comfortable returning to normal routines quickly. Avoid makeup for at least 24 hours. Avoid sun exposure on the area while it heals. Be sure to use sunscreen everyday.
Results Take Patience
Brows won’t completely vanish right away. Each session lightens the pigment further, and the body does the clearing work in between sessions. With consistency, the results can be dramatic.
