How Do Lasers Remove Tattoo Ink?

They don’t. Not exactly. The laser doesn’t magically erase your tattoo — your immune system does. The laser just gives it a better shot.

Here’s How It Works:

Tattoo ink is made up of large pigment particles trapped deep in your skin — too big for your immune system to deal with. That’s why tattoos are permanent.

What the laser does is break those ink particles into smaller pieces using ultra-fast pulses of energy. We use the Hollywood Spectra, which fires in nanoseconds (that's one billionith of a second!) — fast enough to shatter pigment without burning the skin.

Then Your Body Takes Over

Once the ink is in tiny fragments, your immune system recognizes them as foreign and starts clearing them out through your lymphatic system. This happens slowly, over weeks and months. That’s why laser removal takes multiple sessions — your body needs time between each to do its job.

So Why Use a Laser at All?

Because without it, your body can’t reach the ink. The laser opens the door, and your immune system walks the ink out.
